Menu Ringkas Hari ini : Sup Sayur Masam & Ikan Kerisi Masak Kicap

Vegetable Sour Soup Ingredients : 1 carrot 5 pcs of flower cabbage a bunch of enoki mushroom 1 onion 3 garlics 1 spoon dried shrimp 1 lemon grass 4 red chillies 1 cup of tamarind juice some salt and sugar Methods to Prepare : slices all vegetable,onion garlics and chillies. Pour 2 cups of water into a pot and add in the tamarind juice. Pounded the lemon grass and dried shrimp and add it into the pot filled with water and tamarind juice. Boil it until it simmer and add vegetables and wait for another 10 minutes.Finally add in some salt and sugar. Now it is ready to be served. Ikan Kerisi Masak Kicap Ingredients : 1 Onion 3 Garlics 3 Shallots 1 Red Chili 2 spoon of soy sauce 1 spoon oyster sauce 1 spoon chili powder 1/2 cup of water 3 spoons cooking oil 2 fishes (any type of fish also can) Methods to Prepare : Slices onion, garlics, shallots and chili. Snack of Ho Chi Minh

Hi everyone, I wish to share some of snacks that regularly eaten by Vietnamese in Ho Chi Minh. It is groundnuts. My husband bought it when he was in Hanoi. It was packed in a simple plastic packaging and looks very cheap, yet the taste is awesome. sweet and creamy. I like this snack very much. Since we are new here and having limitation on storing food, so we recycled the drinks bottle to store our groundnut. Suprisingly, it works well so both me and husband can has one bottle each while watching tv.  Another one is a healthy snack , Yes, its pomelo. Its seems non seasonal fruit here. You can have it everyday and it always packed with some salty with grounded chilies. Be careful the salty chilies is very spicy and hot.

Dinner on the 2nd Day in Ho Chi Minh

Hi everyone, on the 2nd day of my day as a housewife in Ho Chi Minh, I've prepared 2 dishes for our dinner and the recipes are as follows : Squid Yellow Curry Ingredients : 4  shallots 3 garlics 1 inch ginger 4 spoon curry powder 1/2 cup coconut milk 3 spoon cooking oil 300 gm squids Method to prepare : Blend shallots, garlic and ginger. heat the cooking oil. Saute the blended item until the aroma came out. Add in the curry powder and let it fry for another 3 minutes. Add in the coconut milk  and squid.  Finally add in some salt and  sugar and it is ready to be served. Steam Snapper Ingredients : 300 gm snapper (or any type of fish) 1 onion 3 garlics 1 small size carrot 3 green onion 1/2 inch ginger 100 gm enoki mushroom lime salt and sugar Method of preparation : slice thinly onion, garlic, ginger, carrot and green onion. Place the snapper into a steaming case. Add in all slices ingredients. squeeze some lime. add in some salt and sugar.
Mee Telur Goreng/ Fried Egg Noodle Ingredients : 2 - 3 pcs of egg noodles 4 shallots 3 garlics 2 spoon of black  soy sauce 2 spoon of hoisin sauce 1 egg 2 spoon of cooking oil 1/4 cup of water Method of Preparing : Heat the cooking oil in a frying pan. Fry the slices shallots and garlics until it caramelize. Pour in the water. Include in the soy sauce and hoisin sauce. When it simmer, add in the egg noodles and egg. stir thoroughly until all ingredients mixed together. Add in some salt if necessary.

Mee Hoon Kosong Kosong

Hari ni 1st day prepare breakfast di Saigon setelah bermulanya gelaran housewife bermula. Jadi sempena officially menjadi surirumahtangga sepenuh masa saya telah menyediakan mee hoon kosong kosong : ; Bahan- bahan : 1/2 bungkus mee hoon ( cukup untuk 2 -3 orang makan) 1 biji bawang besar 3 ulas bawang putih 2 sudu kicap tiram 2 sudu kicap masin 1 sudu serbuk cili ( kalau nak pedas tambah lagi 1 sudu) 1 biji telur garam secukup rasa Cara -cara : Tumiskan bawang besar dan bawang putih yang telah dihiris harus sehingga naik bau. Kemudian masukkan serbuk cili, kicap pekat dan kicap tiram. Setelah naik minyak, masukkan mee hoon dan gaulkan , kemudian pecahkan sebiji telur dan gaulkan rata. Telur dimasukkan kemudian adalah untuk melembutkan mee hoon tadi. masukkan sedikit garam dan gaul rata lagi. Selepas 5 minit ianya sedia untuk dihidang.
